Trucker Jobs in Wyoming

Jobs 1 to 12 of 407

Though Wyoming is the least populous state in the Union, the Rocky Mountains and rangelands do not discourage excellent driving opportunities in the state. Many who take commercial driving jobs in Wyoming are likely to expect to haul goods such as diamonds, coal and trona, a large component of pharmaceutical production. One of two lower 48 states that is not serviced by Amtrak, Wyoming’s still sees a large trucking culture. Many of the state’s highways are bisected or otherwise separated in their continuous routes by national parks such as Yellowstone. Known as the “Equality State,” Wyoming was the first state in the union to grant Women’s suffrage.

Wyoming: The New Frontier For Truck drivers

With its medley of prairie sunsets, beautiful lakes, rivers and streams, northern woodlands, forest and national parks, it doesn't get anymore home sweet America than Wisconsin's picture perfect ideal. Its landscape has become a haven for hunters, fisherman, water and winter sport enthusiasts alike and that may be another great appeal for someone also looking there for a truck driving job. Wisconsin has plenty of truck driver jobs and its rebounding economy is showing there to be many great paying jobs too.

Wyoming

Wisconsin has many industries fueling its steady economic growth. It is a leading state in milk and cheese production with other important farm products such as peas, beans, beets, corn, potatoes, oats, hay, and cranberries. The state also thrives with its significant manufacturing industry as well, with it chief industrial products being automobiles, machinery, furniture, paper, beer, and processed foods. Wisconsin ranks first among the paper-producing states and it is fairly strong in its mining of copper, iron ore, lead, and zinc.

Trucks are also essential to Wisconsin's economy, transporting 89.9 percent of the state's total manufactured tonnage and almost 80 percent of Wisconsin's communities depending exclusively on trucks to move their goods out and to bring in the constant flow of products functioning their daily lives. In 2008 the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the trucking industry in Wisconsin provided 161,199 jobs, or one out of 15 in the state and an average annual trucking industry salary of $40,996. While the earnings were already significantly higher than the national average in 2008, truck driver salaries have been increasing more and more with the demand over the last few years.

Wisconsin is no exception to the states facing a major truck driver shortage and has been taking measures to combat it like everyone else. In addition to increasing wages, adding benefits and improving job conditions, Wisconsin truck driving schools have started offering more flexible hour and payment options to accommodate the CDL students working jobs at the same time. Chippewa Valley Technical School (CVTC) is one such school providing this flexible alternative and currently offers a CDL certification course every 8 weeks. Instructor Christian Fredrickson shares his sunny outlook. “I have twelve students right now and I expect all of them to have jobs after graduation and in this economy students say that's rare and something that's not lost on them.”

Wisconsin is becoming a more and more inviting state for truck drivers with many different types of available positions for you to choose from. While the cities with the most jobs are Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay, there are jobs all over the state and TruckDrivingJobs.com gives you access to them right from your own home. Once you find the jobs best suited to you, TruckDrivingJobs.com provides on-line applications immediately linking you to the hiring employer and giving you the competitive edge. Wisconsin has trucker jobs and we just bring you the best ones, then help you get hired.
